According to the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (SDKI) data, the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia increased from 228 per 100,000 live births in 2002-2007 to 359 per 100,000 live births in 2007-2012. The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) decreased in 2012-2015 to 305 per 100,000 live births and the number of maternal deaths in Indonesia in 2019 was 4,221 cases (Kementrian Kesehatan RI, 2020). According to the report of the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office, in the last 3 years the maternal mortality rate has tended to fluctuate, in 2021 it was 140, in 2022 it was 89, in 2023 it was 92. The three highest causes of maternal death in 2023 were severe bleeding (mostly bleeding after childbirth), infection (usually after childbirth), high blood pressure during pregnancy (preeclampsia-eclampsia) (Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Kalsel, 2023) The method used in this final assignment report is a descriptive method with SOAP midwifery care management, the author observed the condition of the postpartum mother and conducted postpartum visits. This midwifery care was carried out from May 12, 2024 to June 23, 2024. Care was given to Mrs. D with a physiological postpartum period, and the management of midwifery planning was carried out according to SOAP standards.
