The total number of deaths of toddlers aged 0-59 months in 2022 was 21,447 deaths. Most deaths occurred in the neonatal period (0-28 days) as many as 18,281 deaths (75.5% of deaths of babies aged 0-7 days and 24.5% of deaths of babies aged 8-28 days). Meanwhile, deaths in the post-neonatal period (29 days-11 months) were 2,446 deaths, and deaths at the age of 12-59 months were 720 deaths. This number is quite a significant decrease from the number of toddler deaths in 2021 of 27,566 deaths (Kementrian Kesehatan, 2023). Neonatal complications that are the most common cause of death are asphyxia, low birth weight and infection. These complications can actually be prevented and treated immediately, but are constrained by access to health services, the ability of health workers, economic conditions, referral systems that are not yet functioning well, late early detection, and parental awareness to seek help. This complication will then contribute to the high mortality rate in newborns (Enjelika, 2023). The method used in this report is a descriptive method with SOAP midwifery care management, the author observed the baby's condition and conducted neonatal visits. This midwifery care was carried out from April to July 2024. The care provided was newborn care for Mrs. M. From the case study of Mrs. M's baby with physiological, it can be concluded that the management of midwifery planning is carried out according to SOAP standards.
