Postpartum Midwifery Care with Education Using Health Calendar To Mrs. N at TPMB Noradina Anggi Agustin, S.Keb., Bdn Banjarmasin City in 2024

Abstract

Based on the WHO report, which occurred from 2000 to 2020, maternal deaths occurred due to complications during pregnancy or childbirth. Measured based on the global maternal mortality ratio (MMR), this figure fell 34% from 339 maternal deaths to 223 deaths per 100,000 live births (UNICEF, 2024). Postpartum infection is the second leading cause of death after postpartum hemorrhage. Therefore, postpartum supervision is very necessary to reduce maternal mortality rates (Yuliastanti & Nurhidayati, 2021). One of the causes of the high maternal mortality rate is that many mothers still experience dangerous problems during the postpartum period that are not known or detected by health workers (Anggraini & Savitri, 2022). The method used in this final assignment report is SOAP midwifery care management. Data collection techniques are carried out by interview, physical examination, observation, and through PWS KIA, medical records and KIA books. This midwifery care was carried out on Mrs. N from April to June 2024 at TPMB Noradina Anggi Agustin, S.Keb., Bdn who will be given care during the postpartum period. The author conducted observations of the condition of postpartum mothers in accordance with midwifery management standards, namely by conducting postpartum visits. Although no problems were found during Mrs. N's postpartum period. This is in order to obtain quality and safe midwifery care. In addition, it can also contribute to helping reduce maternal mortality.
